Terms

Last updated: 1 September 2026.

These are the terms you agree to by using Nova. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

Who we are Nova is operated by Muhammad Usman Shafique, 250 Stockport Road, Timperley, Altrincham, WA15 7UN. Contact: xsmoosa.usman@gmail.com.

Who can use Nova

You must be at least 13 to have an account.

If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian before starting a paid subscription. You can pay with your own card — plenty of under-18 accounts come with one — and by subscribing you confirm you have that permission.

Whatever your age, only pay with a card you are allowed to use. Using someone else's card without their permission is fraud, and we will cancel the subscription and close the account.

What Nova is

Nova is a revision tool. It gives you a library of past papers, lets you sit them under timed conditions, marks your work using AI, tracks your progress and estimates a grade from the papers you have actually done.

What Nova is not Nova is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Cambridge or any other exam board. Marks and grades produced by Nova are generated by AI, are estimates only, and are not official results. They can be wrong. Do not treat them as a prediction of your actual grade, and do not rely on them for any decision that matters — ask your teacher.

Past papers and mark schemes

Copyright in past papers and mark schemes belongs to the exam boards that wrote them. Nova does not host those files; it links to copies published by the exam boards and by Physics & Maths Tutor. They are provided for your own revision.

If you own rights in material reachable through Nova and want a link removed, email us and we will act promptly.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and do not share your account. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Plans and payment

Nova has a free plan and paid plans. Current prices are on the pricing page and include VAT where it applies.

  • Paid plans are subscriptions and renew automatically — monthly or annually, depending on which you chose — until you cancel.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see your card details.
  • If a payment fails we may downgrade the account to the free plan.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time, and you keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.

30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy with a paid plan, email xsmoosa.usman@gmail.com within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full, back to the card you paid with. It does not matter how much you have used Nova — mark as many papers as you like and still ask for your money back. We may ask why, because it is how Nova gets better, but you do not have to answer to get the refund. This applies to your first subscription; it is not a way to use each term for free.

That guarantee is something we offer on top of the law, not instead of it. Because Nova is a digital service supplied immediately, you also have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Where the two differ, whichever is better for you is the one that applies.

Nothing here affects your legal rights if the service is faulty or not as described.

Using Nova fairly

Please do not:

  • share, resell or automate access to your account;
  • try to get around the usage limits on your plan;
  • upload anything unlawful, or anyone else's personal information;
  • attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

Availability

We try to keep Nova running, but we do not promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. Features that depend on other companies — the AI, payments, the sites hosting the past papers — can fail for reasons outside our control. We may change or remove features as the product develops.

Our responsibility

Nova is a study aid. We are not responsible for your exam results, and we do not accept liability for decisions you make on the basis of an AI-generated mark or predicted grade.

Some kinds of liability cannot be excluded by law, and we do not try to exclude them. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

If you are a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless we are unable to.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
